I am in the process of converting to digital my 70's and 80's home sound movies and after several false starts have a modified projector and Digital Movie camera in use that woeks very well.
I have become annoyed with a fault my old S8mm camera seems to have added. That is when I stopped filming, and then restarted, the film/camera captures the cameras restart actions. That is the first view of the new scene is dark, the next light, the next dark and the rest of the new scene at the proper exposure... also there is a bit of sound(noise) recorded on the audio track of these scenes that wasn't in the scene....
So, I am thinking why not just remove those re-start scenes(frames). However, I was wondering if any one had any other thoughts? Don't think I want a transition...
Also, is there a easy way to have software do this? or maybe search for scene changes for me (automate the process a bit) ( snip and trim) --
(fyi -- I have AVI-Video Editor and Magix Movie Edit Pro --- but I am willing to try another
Thanks for any thoughts
