The lens used with t-scan is a Pimoroni microscope lens and it has pretty good reviews.

Some of the t-scan video samples indicate that there was an issue with lens pink glow (shadowing).

The pink glow happens when the long focal length lens is attached to the sensor designed for short focal length.
But apparently the issue does not exist with the new RPI HQ camera.
