      I think only the purchaser and Phil know. It was a case of "Make an offer and if it is above the reserve price you get it". We were not told the reserve., but I believe one print was sold at the shop and Phil had to turn down a later offer of over a hundred pounds more made by phone that day.

          I'm not too sure that dealers selling films as "open to offers" is a right way to sell as a business. It's almost like an ebay sale.

            It was a special deal for the day. The prints not sold then are now on his normal lists.

            As for the 35mm print shipping to the UK is showing as more than the single offer ($668!!!) that it sold for.

                I might be wrong but I think I heard that the Super 8 print of 'Titanic' sold for £600. If that's the case, I think the buyer got a bargain, considering what a new print would cost nowadays!
