I admire anyone that has that mindset to do this stuff I can't even do a jig' saw. I would spend weeks just trying to find, the first two pieces to put together. When I watch Steven and Connor in action, I really don't know how they do it, they seem to be in a world of there own.

I mentioned to Steven that Trevor on the forum here, who is a doctor up in Auckland... gave up doing it. I wonder if it would be an "idea" for doctors or surgeon's during there training days, to have to put something like this together in a certain amount of time, and most importantly "don't" have any bits left over before they go into practice

I got one for Christmas also. Waiting for another snow storm before I attempt to assemble it.

I have started and constructed two parts other than attaching the LED plus dynamo to the frame. I have assembled the lens (Many small parts) and one of the drive gears including the Maltese cross.

I would say that if you don't have small fingers (and I certainly don't) a pair of long nosed wiring pliers is essential for removing parts from th e sheeets and putting in place!!! I'll post some pictures later.

What a nice thing it is, looks like a great addition to any film hobbyist and the fun of putting it together, probably similar to doing a worm gear on the Bell and Howell TQ3 ,Mark

How I envy all you clever clogs. I once put a bookshelf up which, two hours later, fell down!! Now if you want a speech suitable for Buckingham Palace.........

You have it in one Graham!I had bits left over.Bits vital to the thing's performance! When looking around inside someone it is better to have 'parts left over' than to be, 'short of some bits you remember seeing earlier on!'

Yes I'm sure some parts are duplicated in case of breakage when assembling. One thin part did break when i was putting the lens assembly together - thankfully there was a spare!

Here are some pictures from the construction of my projector/puzzle, including the broken piece.

                              Brian,

Nicely done! I need to squeeze in just a little more time before completing the projector.

Finished! This was lots of fun (and therapeutic!). Always good to occasionally take a break and just concentrate on something nice like this.
