Funny to see this on the NZ news, as I visited a record store just yesterday, they say that "great minds" think alike, someone in the news room must have been reading mine ha ha .

Working through and listening to my vinyl goldmine today, I came across some that are a real blast from my past .
Music World based here in this city always had nice cover sleeves. this one is from 1982
Also "As seen on TV" was great advertising, this next one from 1979...ah! those were good times.
Another "As Seen On TV" from 1981
Then there was the huge and popular range of "Solid Gold Hits" everybody had these.
Then we had New Zealand Gold from 1975
"Suzi Quatro", well this lady lives in England and is still doing concerts. I remember hearing "Can The Can" being played all the time on the good ship "Australis" about a million years ago. This album is from 1980.

It might not be a goldmine but I have certainly enjoyed playing these old LP records today. I was surprised to come across them in a second hand shop a while back, apart from the cover on "The Island" the LPs were in excellent condition. I seem to have returned back to Vinyl more and more these days. I find the sound quality much better to listen to with my ears. When we watch a movie, I don't think we fully appreciate the music as its often mixed with other sounds. But when I listen to just the soundtracks like today, that's when you can really hear how good it actually is.
