    Thanks all,

yes just resurfaced from this Covid

Paul you are right Hank Marvin one of the greatest guitarists ever.

Melvin - loved those memories. If you live in Hull you must be round the corner form me.

The "Joe Meek" sound was extraordinary and completely unique for its time -

    In 2010

I was honored to interview ex bass guitarist from the "Shadows" - Jet Harris. 4 weeks before he died. I'm sure he did a bit of work with Joe Meek to around the time Tom Jones did also.

Jet had one of the biggest hit records ever that punctuated the 1960's in terms of music style and impact.

    Diamonds.

you will remember this one Paul/Adrian/Mike

    The good old days.

    Take care all

    Mark

Yes, pretty sure Jet did some work with Tony Meehan in the old "Holloway Rd" flat with Joe Meek just after they both left the Shadows.

Just a note to Rob - this thread is just e general Yak thread connected to music interest - bit of fun and if you are from a generation like myself its nice to revisit it.

        All the best.
