Great to hear! Happy to chip in too.

Alternatively, start a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds ahead of time. I'm sure you will have it funded in no time.
Rewards would be as above: £5 will get you an entry ticket; £25 a table; and £50 for sponsorship (with the refund). If all is well (you sell 100 entry tickets and 10 tables), the sponsors will be refunded before the event. Throw in one extra tier, of say £3, for allowing people just to be supportive.

Having been to the last 9.5mm event there I agree it is a good hall, with a room for a film show.

After the film release thread perhaps we should have a Kickstarter for this.

Have John and Mark decided on the date for the Convention next April?

Nothing said on the BFCC Facebook page except a reply to someone as follows

"I'm not sure we have ever spoken in person or by email but I plan to get a date sorted with the hall for next April so keep all those Saturdays free - the only one unavailable is the 15th - and I'll be in touch once we've reserved it so we can all decide the next step and the best way forward. Looks like we're getting set for a return of the BFCC which I find jolly exciting after having gone six years without one."

I could not see a date for that post, but after 2nd Aug.

            Thank you, Brian.
Good to know that it will be a Saturday.

An update on the 66th BFCC with date & details can be found here. Please post all further replies in that thread.

So as not to have two competing threads on the same topic, I will close this one.
