Well said Mike, now you mentioned the "open marrage" that they have admitted themselves, why did he get so upset then? If a guy is happy to allow his wife to go with other men and visa versa, then neither has any respect or care for the other, makes the whole thing even funnier and suspicious.
I guess its time to get back to the thread, this years Oscar winner. Just like last year, its more entertaining talking about Smithy 🤣🤣🤣
you see how the Oscars are irrelivant now? A typical modern bunch if box tickers, never mind the talant on offer, please tick all relevant boxes which is what they did.
Lets hope the tarrantinos and Tom Cruises come up with somthing worth watching.

I saw Banshees of Inisherin last week and came away quite bewildered. Yes the acting was good but why would anyone want to cut all their fingers off. Maybe I am missing something or was it highlighting what happens when people are living in virtual isolation for many years, Ken Finch.

Yes, let’s hope some more entertaining movies come out rather than the swamp of Marveland endless Sequels.

I have the blu ray on my shelf. I have the feeling it has been hyped up by media but will give it a whirl always eBay if disappointed. Cheaper than going to cinema 😂

Fortunately Mike the seat prices at our little local independent cinema are only £4 which is cheaper than buying the Blue ray. Incidentally the charity shops are a good cheap source of older films for the likes of us who prefer to watch films as they were intended to be seen rather than as an addition to the lounge furniture! To be honest, I'm not bothered about a group of people slapping each other on the back and giving prizes. I'm more interested in whats on offer to entertain me. My wife and I go to the Silver Screen (over 65's showing) every week where they choose something from current offerings. In the last six weeks we've had 'The Bishop's Wife' an old David Nivern Cary Grant b/w which everyone enjoyed, 'Empire of Light' which was enjoyed but felt like a t.v. film, 'Silent Sister's which was endured rather than enjoyed, A man Called Otto' which was entertaining but rather ordinary, and 'Women Talking' which I found dire yet the reviews were really good. I asked the lady collecting cups if she actually watched what they put on for us. She didn't but said 'We've had such poor films on offer lately'. I think that sums it up. CGI, Marvel comic stuff and the odd decent adult offering just goes on and on. Sadly, our tastes are bludgeoned by a torrent of stuff from too many t.v. channels that pour money into the owners coffers irrespective. Will it change? If folk continue to pan Disney's offerings and stay away, as they are doing in the States, and the paid content channels continue to loose customers, perhaps the message will be received. Now I'm looking forward to seeing 'Rye Lane', a British rom-com headed by unknowns receiving rave reviews. Will it get a mention at the Oscars? I doubt it but, hopefully, I shall come out of the Byron glad I went!
