Hey everybody ...

How many of the classic Jack benny TV shows, (30 minute 600ft)were released on super 8? I hope that one of the Christmas ones might have been, as they were always funny.

Not sure if there were any, but if so, it would most likely be a Red Fox release. They did have the Lucy Show called LUCY GETS JACK BENNY'S ACCOUNT.

Funny timing, I just screened this afternoon my S-8mm sound print of "To Be or Not To Be". I think it is Jack Benny's best feature film. He was made to play the ham actor, very funny film. Not sure if audiences today get Jack Benny's humor, but his long output of radio, TV and film comedy is impressive. Too bad so little is seen or heard of it today.

I don't know. (concerning you're question) ...

The reason why I asked is that I'd swear that, at some time in the past, i saw a jack benny Episode being sold on ebay, but I can't remember what it was. mind you, i do have the early sound short, "Taxi Tangle" on standard 8mm sound, and another approximately 5 minute long, Jack Benny segment with Mel Blanc.

Not 100% sure, but I've always thought my print was from Niles.

It might be, david, but I'm specifically looking for the Jack benny TV show. I know that at least a few of the Burns and Allen shows made it to super 8, (Super8warehouse has one for sale right now) and Amos and Andy did too, as well as a number of the 30 minute Abbott and Costello shows.

But I want JACK!

Well, I mean, I obviously don't wanting "nothing" ...

I want "Jack", but I don't have "Jack" yet.

(a little stupid humor, forgive me!) [Smile]
