I recently won on e-bay a Super8 demo film for Sankyo Sound-600 projectors, it cost me US$13.99 plus P&P but as I don't see these sort of films for sale I did the buy-now. It runs for about 2 mins and is less than 50ft and is on a normal 50ft plastic Super8 reel,in colour(well it's red now) and has Japanese spoken audio.First part shows the controls and mostly focuses on the volume and the last half is silent showing a Japanese landscape - strange that that part was silent? I presume it was used to demo or educate the customers or dealers for that projector from 1979, but it is VERY short! Anyone else got these sort of films? Cheers from New Zealand, Clinton

The only film I ever got was a sound only demo (?) with the Eumig S710D, clear film striped with music on, only about 20ft.

The Eumig sound track only film (approx 25ft) which came with my new 807D was to be used for test recording. The top polystyrene pieces with Eumig projectors have a small round hole. This is where the small spool was stored.

I've never seen a projector demo film but I know the old console stereos would often come with a demo record. Sometimes this was used to highlight the new stereophonic sound when it first started coming out. At that time many people may have only had mono records and were not completely sold on the new stereo thing.
