I received Derann's latest e-mail concerning they're sales list and put in for "Flinstones Flyer". Gary wrote back, but the message was strange. It stated ...

"We still have the item, but it has not been reserved."

So I put in that I wanted to buy it, and never heard back from him.
Could something be wrong over at Derann? Usually, Gary gets back in at least a day or two, but nothing.

Any word folks?

Surely it is a typo and the 'not' was a mistake?

I've read from them before that without explicit instructions they assume an inquiry is just to see if a film is still available, and they will not either place on hold or ship unless specifically asked to do so. (It could be the language barrier!)

It could also be in the heat of battle some messages were confused among each other. I would imagine that in the first couple of minutes after they send a list their inboxes fill pretty fast and pretty deep.

I'm sure that is true as well, Steve, but usually, Gary would get back to me, so its out of the ordinary. I did say, go ahead and charge it if they still have my credit card number, so, for all I know, I might have it in the mail next week.

Hi OSI

I have been absent for a few days, although this film has now been sold, with apologies. We would ask that responses to our lists are marked either "please reserve pending payment" or "please debit my credit card"

Kindest Regards

Gary

I did Gary, that was the strange thing.

Oh well, it will pop up again in the future.
