Hi everyone! I'm sure you all know by now my enthusiasm for standard (regular) 8 cine, with my (now) 4 Elmo E-80 machines, the Elmo F-80, the Ampro Futurist 8, and the Eumig Mark S. Well!! To add insult to injury I have just sent off to Australia for an Elmo F-120. Have never seen one advertised before, so must be extremely rare. I must look it up again in Juergen's Projector book! Saw it advertised on eBay many months ago, but the shipping was a killer. However, the seller just agreed to halve the price, so that made it do-able. This model has a low voltage quartz halogen lamp, so should be quite reasonable in terms of illumination. Can't wait to get it and try it out. I'll take some pictures and post them on the Forum, with a brief write-up, and let you all know whether I like it or not.
Question is: can it be adapted to take 800ft reels??????????
Meanwhile, best to all,
-------------------- Dave.
Valves and celluloid - a great combination! Early technology rules OK!
