Hi all,

I just won this from a German Ebay seller who is not a layman, but a super 8 collector who moved to digital. He now even has some Derann trailers listed now.

Everybody loves this title, but sadly everytime we got it, it would have faded or brownish Kodak SP.

But this seller says:

quote:
Kaum Laufstreifen, satte Farben..., Kein Rotstich , keine Perforationsschäden , keine Risse , satter Sound !!!
Google translates it to become:

"Hardly tread, saturated colors ... No red tint, no Perforationsschäden, no cracks, rich sound!"

I will be quiete disapointed after paying so much for the film (and shipping) then would get the same faded or brownish print.

For those who speak German, am I in a right direction to assume this would not be a faded print by reading the above writing?

ps: in other listings he also says

1. ", er hat aber noch satte Farben...," and

2. 'Kaum Laufstreifen , keine Farbveränderungen , Keine Risse , keine Perforationsschäden ..."

are those bold letters also to mention not faded prints?

thanks

hello winbert,

first let me say congratulation! sounds really good to me.
here are my 2 cents about what the seller wrote :
Kaum Laufstreifen, satte Farben..., Kein Rotstich , keine Perforationsschäden , keine Risse , satter Sound !!!

meaning:
just a few stripes/scratches on the print from running it, rich powerful colours, no redtint, no defects on the perforation,
no cracks regarding the material, powerful sound.

the bold letters:
still rich colours, no colour changes

i`m sure you will enjoy it !

best oli

Winbert ...

Did you buy the Marketing digest, (3X400ft) or the German scope feature of this title? If the german scope full feature, the colors should be perfect as it is on low fae stock (if my friend Gian LUca could do so, mayt he put up some screenshots from his print, it is lovely).

If you just bought the Marketing Films digest, it's always up to guess-work, as one sellers "good color" is pinked to hell to a serious collector.

Hi Bruno and Oli, thanks for your help

Osi, I won the three parter of Marketing.

The seller is not a new person to super 8mm films. He has some Derann. So he must know what do "good color", "vibrant color" and "no red tint" mean for collectors.

So I am crossing my fingers that this the later print on AGFA as good as the majority of Indiana Jones "Raider of the lost Ark".

Gerard.....this is what we have been waiting so far. And I was so lucky to get this seller who is sending overseas (rare for German seller) and take paypal as way of payment (this is even rarer).

He also didn't over charge for shipping, only EUR 15 for these three reels around the world via DHL.

Hi Winbert,

Chris Fries and I have been chatting about this in emails but, we would really love to see that 3 x400' you just got. Please take some screen-shots and let us know how it compares to the digest (which I still like despite fade).

Another great deal, congrats!
