Does anyone have for sale (or trade) the following Laurel & Hardy silent shorts on Standard 8mm ? THE LUCKY DOG - 45 MINUTES FROM HOLLYWOOD - DUCK SOUP - SLIPPING WIVES - WHY GIRLS LOVE SAILORS - NOW I'LL TELL ONE - CALL OF THE CUCKOOS - HAT'S OFF - Thanks, Ray

HAT'S OFF doesn't exist -- it is a lost film.
Regarding SLIPPING WIVES -- you've got competition! Shorty Caruso has been after this one for years.
I really doubt WHY GIRLS LOVE SAILORS and NOW I'LL TELL ONE were ever released in 8mm. DUCK SOUP was, but I think only in Super 8 (and definitely 16mm) around '82 - '83 by Blackhawk.

Thanks for that info Tony, I didn't know that HAT'S OFF was a lost film - How about NOW I'LL TELL ONE ? (is it lost too?) because I have all of the other titles on DVD except for HAT'S OFF and NOW I'LL TELL ONE, and I'd like to get them all on 8mm too - Ray

I'm still not sure that Slipping Wives was released, does anyone have an actual ad from somewhere announcing it? The only release of slipping wives I ever knew of was on Pathex 9.5 and that interestingly enough was sold as Priscilla Dean in Slipping Wives...

Only the second reel of NOW I'LL TELL ONE is known to exist. It was the only extant L&H I was unable to see when I wrote my book on their films 15 years ago - and I still haven't! It has been shown at festivals and I gather L&H do not appear together, at least in the surviving footage (it's really a Charley Chase comedy).

I once had a nice Std 8 Silent of 'WIVES', and traded it away. Somewhere it exists, I'll find it - 'HATS' might possibly be in an archive (Europe), still you never know where a print may appear - Shorty
