Hi Folks,

I've listed some films on eBay today, here's a link to the auctions:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/even_more_clutter/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid =p3686

As usual, mention "8mm Forum" at the close of the auction and win a little freebie.

Thanks!

Gerald, someday when you're done with your eBay handle, can I have it? Just perfect.

Gerald,

No returns accepted???
Perhaps things are different in the Super 8 world but my experience in 16mm is that very many collectors won't even consider bidding on such an auction - this is, after all, used film.

The description for the films are accurate or slightly downplayed so, all sales are final Michael. I've never had anyone ask for their money back. Considering ebay/paypal fees, shipping and handling, time and efforts...no returns is offset with free shipping and excellent feedback.

If I've grossly committed an error in judgment on the description, I'd let them keep the print and return their money.

Thus, all sales final..."no returns accepted".

Hi Gerald,

I wasn't questioning your integrity, just pointing out that a returns policy usually attracts more interest.

Just so everyone knows..there is no such thing as a "No Return Policy" Meaning...I sold a projector and said "No Returns". However Ebay told me that all the buyer has to do is file a dispute saying the item was "not as described" and Paypal will reverse the transaction. Which the buyer did and now I owed Paypal. When I called Paypal they told me there is no such thing as a "No Return" auction. Nice right? [Mad]

Yes Alan, that is called "buyer protection".

Otherwise, buyers can also hit seller from CC (if fund the payment through CC) and seller will get a charge back which will not be protected by paypal.

I once got this kind of return and need to send full refund to the buyer, plus I pay import duty for my own item since the buyer wrote the actual price he paid instead of marking as "return item". [Mad]

No problem Michael, it's better to explain my return policy.

In the event that there were a frustrating scenario where there were a return and difficult customer, it would certainly turn me off to selling them film again.
