Last night I screened my latested film The Rainmaker (1956). I was very pleased with the quality of this IB Tech print. A few white and black lines on occasion, but all in all terrific color and sound. This film has been on my wanted list for some time and I was lucky enough to finally find it. [Smile]

Thank you Robert. The Rainmaker is a play written by N. Richard Nash in the early 1950s. The 1956 movie is done very much like a play with much "over-the-top" acting and characterizations. However it's a charming picture with a great cast. The story was also made into a Broadway musical.

I did not know that Mark...very interesting. I'm guessing it might have been for the younger brother character played by Earl Holliman. Was it?

Yes Janice it was for that part,Elvis was under contract for Hal Wallis at the time but Col Tom Parker put a stop to it, probably down to money or billing. Shame as could have been a good part for him,Mark
