I bought this beast of a projector complete with rectifier and a spare (part used) bulb from a forum member several years ago. Used it only once and it has sat in the box ever since.

In nice condition of its age, pictures can be sent on request, I am looking to move it on as it takes up so much space. Love the picture quality, just don't have the space.

I paid £250 for it so would like to try and recover this! It is a very very heavy piece of kit so collection only or delivery by arrangement within a sensible drive

This is an awesome projector. I have two 1510's and put the one for repair on the market. It got a bid at $499 then, I took it off auction to keep it instead. This is a very great deal for one that works at £250. This is an optical and magnetic projector as well, and the lamp will last a long time. The working unit I have hasn't had a lamp change in ten years and it runs very quietly.

When I was working for Classic Cinemas in the early 70s we used one of these for our Screen 2 which ran the Tatler Cinema Club. Admission was for members only as the films did not have a Censor certificate. They were soft-porn, mainly from the continent, dubbed into English, and recorded onto magnetic stripe which the projector can handle as well as optical.

The projector had extended arms which could accommodate a full feature on its 4000' spools. The motor was able to handle these quite happily, although it needed hand breaking on the spool rim to let it take up slowly when first switched on, otherwise the spool would snatch and break the film.

We had a 12 foot screen which always looked good and the projector never gave any trouble.

Maurice, fascinating. To think what that projector may have seen!

Happy to say it is now sold and soon to go off to a new home. It was just too big for my house really. Sad to see it go but only using it once in several years doesn't justify holding on to it.
