Hi Jorg, the Elmo is a great lens, but if you can get one there is a very nice Buhl 1.4 12.5mm about as well usually sleeved for an Elmo.
They have a good image maybe just a tad down on the 1.8 elmo.

No not so cheap, that is a bit too hot to handle Janice plus with import taxes etc to add as well coming this way. But looks nice.
You should get one for around £150 in the UK/ or EU Jorg with luck.

Hello Janice,
thank you very much for the advice!
The seller doesn't accept lower prices and the listed price doesn't seem very realistic to me. What I pity because the lens would have been useful for me.
Please let me know if you see another of these lenses somewhere.

I dont know about this lens but if the lens is rare, this is the time to buy. We never knew when it will come again We understand this is an expensive hobby.

Hello Mark,
thank you for the reply.
Unfortunately that is not correct: the zoom converter is not suitable for the 20mm lens. I have both and used together, they make distortions and are sharp only at the center of the image. So totally useless.
But I agree with you that the 20mm lens (used alone) is a good lens.
In any case, I am still searching for the 12.5mm lens.

Intersting. My Eiki converter doesn't work with a 25 mm lens (but it does with a 38 mm one) as a part of the picture is missing. Maybe there are different kind of converters like for Elmo ?

Thats odd Jorg mine looks great, there is just a small slip down in quality. But still nice.
I ran Twice Two tonight at a few sizes using the zoom on the 20mm, no issues at all, but obviously it was slightly better again then without it on.
I also popped in the Buhl 12.5mm and its huge, fairly sharp but obviously a big difference in quality, mainly I suppose as I`m only 10/12 feet or so feet from the screen.

I use the Elmo zoom on the 20mm and the focus is good. The distortions are 'bowing', mostly at top and bottom at extreme wide setting. But not focus.
