Another cracking convention!!!
It was great to me meet my fellow collectors again some from a far a field as Greece and the Algarve!!
It really puts my 8/9 hour trip up there to shame LOL
Picked up lotsa bargain including some rare Mary Millington titles and some very nice Iver trailers too.
Cheers to the guys from Derann for a superb day out,its always great to meet Adrian,Ged and Gary again.
Special mention must go to the untireing Bob Nichols who was the projectionist and chief auctioneer for the day,the auction went on for over 2 hours which I believe is a record in recent years!
The comical banter between Bob and the audience was very amusing
Loads of bargains were had with Ken 2 reelers @ £2 a pop!

Usually here in Canada we have been more up-to-date with the various aspects of British culture than most of the world ( Monty Python toured here before they ever appeared on American television ) but this time I have to ask -

Hi Robert, If i was to say she starred in films such as...
Oral Connection, Erotic Inferno and Private Pleasures. It should give you an idea of the type of films she was famous for here in Britain, but all done in a light hearted comic style.

Mary's films look like nudie versions of the 'Carry On' films which were always popular here in Canada. I did a search for "Private Pleasures' on the Ontario Film Review Board website and it was indeed classified here in 1978. I'm sure it's the same film as I can vividly remember the ads for these kind of films that were always playing somewhere in the pre-video days.
Perhaps I'll check out the DVD section of Amazon.uk and see what I've been missing....

Everything, and more than you need to know, about Mary Millington (I had never heard of her) can be found on Wikipedia. Among her sex partners were Prime Minister Harold Wilson and Diana Dors
