This is a nice story to start the New Year 'lost' films wise - archivists in The Netherlands have found a nitrate print of the Stan Laurel silent short 'Detained' which includes previously missing scenes, and Lobster Films have now restored the film to its full length.

There was a talk about this on one of the BBC radio stations over the weekend. A great find and there you go you just never know what might turn up and where and when.

Where can you see an almost complete copy of BATTLE? -- the scenes they recently found, not the one that has been circulating for years.
