The poor fellow had major issues with alcohol abuse, but in the 70's and 80's his star was flying high. Most people remember him for that action TV show, "Airwolf" with Ernest Borgnine, but I remember him for his great number of "B" movies in the 70's, such as the immortal classic (!?!), DAMNATION ALLEY!!!

OSI, I have a few of his films on super 8. He must have just pass! Because I did not hear it on the news? He did some good stuff! He was a real tough guy!

Died 10 February long history of substance abuse destroyed him so miracle he got to 74. Best film was early on in the Mechanic.

Who remembers the “danger island” series which was part of the banana splits tv show in the late 60s, must have been one of his first apperances.
