Clinton... I saw this photo with the side removed where the handle is. Perhaps remove the handle and see if the side comes off.

Thanks Janice, I have managed to lift the side plate a bit but I just can't work out how to remove that handle. I have tried with a bit of force,but not too much as I don't want to break it,pulling it up thinking it was just pushed on,and I've tried to see if it unscrews some way. Got nowhere so far! But it must come off some how?

Great idea Janice,I will try that when I finish work,All my handles on other ones unscrew so why would this be any different I will keep you posted

In the end I didn’t try to clean it,I got a 240v to 12v power lead used for laptops etc and that powered the lamp. And with a bit of experimentation worked out how to use it. It goes quite well but is hard on film if it gets stuck where it exits the cartridge,tears the film.But the projector still maintains the picture,no top or bottom loops on this projector.
