Dino

The AUX out is from the pre-amp stage before the main amp itself so if you have a fault in the main amp it does not matter. If you have an old stereo amp "any external amp" with its own speakers plug it directly into AUX out and run the two leads from the AUX out to the amp input of your other amp and you should be back in business.

Graham.

PS Dino, I forgot to mention, that if you dont have any stereo tracks then just plug into GS1200 AUX Left out only "main track". That mono signal simply needs to be split from the one to two for your Left and Right input on your external amp, either you can make a lead or buy one, its quite simple. The reason is you need to split it, is so you can listen to your single mono track from on both L/R speakers.

OK since I am clearly not learning my lesson, I went out and picked up another GS-1200...I figured with all of the probs I was having the key was to get one of the Version 3 machines (motor Jun 1984 and serial #831696) , so that's what I just acquired BUT in the truest of fashion even though it looks in perfect cosmetic condition and seems to purr along like a charm... THE OFF BUTTON WILL NOT BUDGE! ! !! It is as if it was glued into place, so the only way to get it to stop is by pushing the still button, or power down...Has anyone ever had this problem before with their moneypit?
