Kevin,

I'm really sorry to hear about the theft of your bike, but your insurance should cover most of the value of the bike (won't it?), I hate to see you sell your Disney collection.

I have sent you an email about 1 of your films listed.

Thanks guys. The trouble is the time it takes for the insurance to sort it. They wont do anything for the next month to see if it gets recovered (I doubt it) and then you know how slow insurance companies are. The last time this happened to me it took 3 months and at a cost of £350/month for travel to work it then drains the funds.

I have the possibility to buy a Honda Fireblade fairly soon and I don't want to be in debt buying it hence selling my films.

Kev.

Kev,

I am so sorry to hear your bike.

Anyway, I thought bike thief and slow insurance company only happened in my country... [Big Grin]

Apparently it is so universal... [Razz]

No who works in a insurance company here? [Wink]

BTW, Osi you have to see that Kev also sells the most rarest copy of Close Encounters!

cheers,

Flammin swines Kev, hope you can sort it OK.
I`ve just been hit by a £500+ for MOT and its abit flexible too.
Can you maybe buy a cheapo one to get you moving, you can usually pick up a decent suzuki or honda 500 tein for around 500 notes then sell it on afterwards.
The sodds etc etc etc.
Good luck. Best Mark.

Hi Kev,
I am really sorry for about your bad luck. These b***tards don't care about all the upset and inconvenience they cause. We all know how gutted you must feel about having to get rid of so many rare features.

Hi Kev, I agree with the get a cheapy for now to do you till the insurance is sorted, keep pushing the insurance company though.
1 other thing, does your insurance not cover you the loan of a bike whilst you are sorting your claim out, I know mine gets me a hire vehicle whilst any claim is being made. Del.

Hey guys what can I say except a big THANKS [Smile]

For me the biggest upset was actually seeing the guy ride of on my bike. I still cant believe that someone had the nerve to jump on my bike while I opened the garage door at work right behind me. I actually saw this guy ride off [Frown] on my pride and joy which is what made it feel so bad.

Here is a pic of me and Kermit:

 -

I'm still hoping that the police will find the bike but I dont really hold out any hope now.

I have seen the many emails and will decide during this coming week if some of my films will be on the move.

Osi, if CEOT3K does go you will be first in line.

Thanks again everyone, kev.

Kev, sounds like someone was watching your work schedule habits and planned this out. Maybe you could install a device on yur next bike where it can be found easily. Hold onto those films as long as you can. Good luck my friend! [Smile]

Kev

For the love of God, please delete your post. It will take you an eternity to replace all these prints to the same high standard of your collection. I know most of your Disney's are first print runs and in mint condition. To get them back will cost a lot more than the price you have listed.

Do you not have any other equipment you could sell? IE Projectors, lens, editing equipment, digests etc etc

Please Kev, you may regret this once the insurance is finalized and you find yourself financially better off.

Craig

Craig, Yes I hear what your saying but it depends what you want more and for me the Bike is important.

It may be a case that the Bike wont happen at all as someone told me today that he thought if you had 2 bike thefts you then cant get insurance for a third?

Thanks Peter.
Its really great to have concerned friends on a forum like this [Smile] It goes to show what a close knit community the film collectors really are.

One or two titles have now been sold and it will certainly help me get through this next month with the expensive traveling.

Thanks everyone, Kev.

That's an amazing picture you got of the tea leaf on your bike. I've forwarded it on to CID and they've confirmed they will feature the image on the next BBC Crimewatch.

Mischeivous looking devil, ain't he. Even had the audacity to wear leathers and helmet that matched the bike.

Whoops! Just noticed it's you on Kermit!

Very bad news indeed Kev. Really sorry to hear of the theft, total C**t is the only words to describe the thief [Mad] , With a bit a luck the twat will wrap it round a lamp post and get wheelchaired for the rest his natural, been there myself only it was a car, fortunatly for me i rarely pay more than a few hundred quid for a car so altough it was inconvienience it wasnt too bad financialy, & it was a crappy old Mk2 escort( [Big Grin] )
Just looking at your list buddy, i'd think twice on the Close encounters, you'd be lucky to find that again.
Good luck mate.

I started to write the rest of this post and then decided to deleted it because I feel I must email you personally with what I have to say.

No news yet. Insurance company have as of today asked for all the bikes docs and keys and said they would get the wheels in motion as soon as they receive them. They went of today so its fingers crossed time.

Yes I hear what you guys say about not selling my films and deleting my post but some are sold already. As Osi is aware and you can see that from his post I have not made a final decision yet on titles such as Spiderman and Close Encounters. I am not making any rash decisions yet so don't worry I know what I'm doing.

Thanks again, kev.
