I've recently found what I believe to be an RCA 16mm sound film projector. From what I can find on the internet at least. I've always been interested in photo and video, digital and film. So, when I had the chance to get one for $20, I took it. It's in fairly decent condition, but the reels and arms that hook to it are missing. It seems to work fine, the main light bulb is burnt out, but otherwise, it runs, very quietly, but it does function. Granted... I have no film to test it. But, now I don't know anything about them, and really can't find much information. Help... anyone? Any info will be super helpful!

Gerald,

Thank you for the advice. I've posted a message on Barry's forum and registered at the 16mm film talk website. I'm excited to find out some new information, in general, but also about this particular model. To me, it seemed like such a great find. A project of sorts. And today, while rummaging through another thrift shop, I found a working Standard Projector model 333! Just had to share my excitement. Though slightly more common to find on sale online, it seems the info behind that one is also virtually not existent! But, this is probably due to me not knowing where to look. But, now it seems some people may be able to point me in the right direction. So, thanks again, I'll keep you updated! - Sarah

Welcome to club, this is where I first came to research my projector(s) as well.

Look at the "search" tab at the top of this page>Type your keyword on the search field>choose a Forum from the drop down box>hit search>if there are any choose a thread.

I've had the PG201 in the past for a few months, it also didn't have the right arms. It seems that people make their own arms to increase the capacity of the projector up to 4000'! I sold it, but remember that it had a very nice looking lens and had a very solid body.

Enjoy looking around the old forum threads! It's one of my favorite things to do here...

Hi Sarah: I posted a reply in the other forum. Here is the manual for the RCA. It is the heaviest projector that I have and therefore not the most portable if you plan on doing showings away from home:
