OK-

This is the only film I have that does this. Here goes...

The film reel turns, lets out slack, the pick-up reel continues to turn, when the slack runs out on the film reel, the pick up reel continues to turn and it jerks the film as the slack runs out on the film reel and the film slighly jumps.

Does anybody understand what I just said/I don't know if I understand it and I wrote it!

If anybody knows what I'm talking about or better yet, what this is and how to fix it, please let me know!

So you are saying the supply reel lets out a lot of film, comes to a stop and then when the slack is taken up the machine yanks the supply reel back into motion and the sudden rise in film tension makes the picture jump?

That sounds like something is out of balance. Since it's only that film the possibilies are the film or the reel it's on or somehow the combination of the two.

Do you have another film you can swap reels with and see which part the problem follows?

The way I read that, it sounds like the slack is in the take-up. The only time I have had something like that happen is when the take-up belt was worn so there was not quite enough tension to keep up. It happened when using a 2300' foot take-up reel with the small inner hub. I couldn't spin with enough tension to be steady until the film built on the reel for a bit.

IF that is the case change the belt and or swap the film onto a 2000' reel if possible.
