How do you rewind on an elmo fp-c? I don't have a manual and just picked one up.still trying to feel my way.

Also has anybody had trouble with lamp turning on. I had some trouble but cleaned the socket a little and it goes on now.

To rewind you should hold down the button on the selector switch while turning the switch to RUN.

The lamp is designed to go on automatically when the film is securely fastened to the take-up reel. If the light doesn't go on just manually turn the take-up reel with you hand...just a little tug...this should activate the lamp.

So,your saying the light should turn on once the film hits the take up reel and the lever for threading snaps back. Should the lamp dial be in the on position before or after threading.

On your projector if you just turn the lamp switch before turning on the motor will the lamp go on or does it only turn on after threading?

The lamp seems tempermental, sometimes it does not turn on when I play a film. Maybe after 5 or so min it turns on. Dont understand it. The connections look good and the bulb is new.

By the way if I want to change the whole bulb system to a less expensive one,what type of bulb is compatable?

Turn the lamp dial to ON then turn motor switch to ON. Push the green feed button on the top....feed the film until it catches in the take-up reel. If the light doesn't go on automatically turn the take-up reel with your hand...this will give a little tug on the film and should light the lamp.

I have converted my FP-A lamp to halogen. The compatible bulb is a 150W/21V EJM. Take a look at this thread specs, options, and photos of my install.

Thats probably why it goes on sometimes,I am not doing the steps correctly and consistently. I would always push the green button first then turn on the motor.
