Clinton,
The projector in a case!
According to Jurgen Lossau's terrific book Movie Projectors, Dralowid (in Teltow, near Berlin) started manufacturing 8mm projectors in 1937. In 1950 they moved to Porz and introduced the III/8 as the first portable projector, at a price of $50. Made mostly of plastic, it came with a 22mm f1.4 lens, a 15v 60w bulb and could take up to 200' reels. The wood case brought the weight up to 11 lbs. The company folded approximately a decade later. The rare model is the II/8, manufactured in 1938.
