I understand your frustrations perfectly Steve. Until last year I would say I had perfect eyesight 20/20 I'd say. Now,in the last 6 months when working on very small parts, I find myself needing to borrow my wife's reading glasses lol. I doubt I will be admitting to having to buy my own yet!
Nowt worse than growing old, that's for sure.
As said, I will keep a lookout for you. I have a spare Bauer Schneider f1.2 and a spare f1.1 for my Beaulieu and Elmo, just nothing for Sankyos unfortunately as I have never owned one.
There was a superb f1.0 Sankyo lens for sale on here not so long ago from another member of the forum and it was up for sale on e bay also I think, but as it was the very best lens they ever made, it was of course, not cheap but would make a superb upgrade for you and as far as I am aware,it may still be available.

Hi Steve, I have read your comments on the plight of your lens, that's really bad luck mate, and sadly none of the people you tried can help, well if its any help to you send me the lens in the post, with all the bits, and i'll have ago at putting it back together for you, if and when your new lens arrives, perhaps I can help you with a sleeve or modify it for you to fit your projector, just let me know mate.

Hi Steve, lets put it like this, if I can put back together for you, and its no use, you have lost nothing, because as you say everyone you spoke to said its no good ??, but if you can use it as a spare, then you have gained something, it may not be as bad as you think, what have you got to loose ?.

YES!, YES!, YES!, a big BIG thank-you to Paul Browning, he read my post's about my lens problems, and he has restored my faith in human kindness. Paul asked if he could help with my on going problems, I told him I had purchased a Schneider 1.2 lens but it was the wrong fit for my DCT, it was a 28mm barrel with a pin, 'No problem mate' Paul told me, 'Send me the lens and the old lens, and I will fix it for you'. Fast forward to yesterday the postman arrived with a package for me, inside were my two lens and a sleeve which Paul had fashioned out of a ceramic material, very well made with all the correct grooves and notches,Paul also removed the pin and the part that stands proud on the Schneider, the lens fits perfect in the sleeve, in-fact it's such a precise fit there is no need to glue the lens barrel in place. I was so excited at this stage, so into the DCT it went, what a perfect fit, I threaded the film, and was astounded at the picture quality and brightness my DCT has never projected a picture so good uniform sharpness across the whole of the frame.Paul kept in touch with me through-out the process with updates etc, I will always be so thankful to a stranger whom I now call a Friend, thank-you Paul...
