Hello everybody,

I have a question, how you use your splicetape without lost paper on the tape.
I hope you know what i mean.
Everytime if i use this tape the paper where i take it off sticks on the splicetape.

Thanks for you advise.

Hi Jeroen,

I came across this problem myself using Kodak splice tape that was "new old stock". The paper doesn't come off all the way and I could not get the rest off. So I switched to Quicksplice that folds over for Super 8 and use 305 (clear) and 309 (white) double perforated splicing tape from 3M for 16mm.

Quiksplice is AWFUL (or at least it was - don't know if they ever fixed it) - the glue they used goes bad over time leaving brown bloctching on the print, and the splices pull apart. HORRIBLE stuff...

You can get brand new presstapes from Larry Urbanski which shouldn't have the paper issue, or invest in a guillotine splicer.
