Hi all, if you've purchased any films recently from an ebayer called csmacewan,i would check what you purchased is correct in the box.I recently bid on two t&j cartoons to add to my collection only to find one was just the countdown numbers on the leader,(in the correct box) and the other is a film about salmon farming in devon in the 1960's.I do remember there was a top hat feature with fred astaire and a few others chance's are they could be anything.I feel sure it's not intentional on her part but did comment that she should of check them first. So yes this time gent's it really is "BUYER BEWARE".

Paul, have you contacted the seller about the mistakes? Looks like the seller isn't the "owner" of these films and isn't likely a collector. However, that's a signficant feedback profile with a 100% score, so I'd bet that the "no returns accepted" policy doesn't apply to erroneous listings. It's worth a try, right?

Hi Bill, yes i did contact her, and a full refund was given through paypal, although i would rather have had the film's.The parting comment on her email to me was " i will not be selling anymore films in the future", a genuine mistake and regretable no doubt.

I suppose it's like the saying don't judge a book only don't judge a film by it's cover.

I finally found a film I had been after for ages........it arrived in a nice box but was a home movie of a family in Italy! No refund offered either just a silly excuse.

That's where feedback comes in handy. I usually say "I'll wait for your response before I leave feedback". It usually works for me.

Bryan, normally I would do that, but the ad said very clearly that sales were at your own risk as they had no way of checking if the right films were in the right boxes. This is one time I let it go.

I would always make it right for the customer however. Even when I have described something perfectly, I had a buyer not happy, so I refunded in full and let him keep the item. That has happened twice in over 600 sales for me.
