I picked this up from a search on Ebay UK - looks like it is a projector for showing educational strips with synchronised sound:
Not quite what I had hoped for but I did my usual 'I wonder what else they have for sale' peep and clicked on the 'seller's other items' link - just recovering now after two pink pills a cold shower and a lie dowm.

I thought the same Andrew must be how the other half live - thank goodness it wasn't a projector I would have liked - suggesting calling to pay and collect - I would never have been the same again!
All good clean-ish fun really I'm only jealous and feeling slightly old and worn out just thinking about it.

I would definitely only have gone there under the cover of darkness Andrew!
Worse still as I, ahem, looked more closely at some of the 'other items' just in case they might be cine related...... bloomin' Ebay has decided to send me recommendations based on my recently viewed items.
Now where is that 'delete searches' button when you need it!

Many manufacturers made the Cabin projectors.
They were used a lot in education, most had facilities for slide and film-strip projection. A few had, like the one advertised, provision for a sound commentary by a supplied cassette.
They were quite small and compact and could easily be moved from classroom to classroom.

Yes, "film strips" made a regular appearance in the classrooms of my youth. If you were lucky, you were selected by the teacher (often a Nun) to advance the film when the "beeps" emanated from the audio tapes. A predecessor to the modern power point.
That Elf looked pretty fancy. Maybe it could advance the film on its own.
As to the seller's other items, I can safely say that none of that made it into the curriculum of my Catholic school education.

It would be possible to make some interesting (and money spinning) films with his other items. As long as you had someone to wear them.

I tried to resist temptation but couldn't help it - the seller responded to a question from me and the lube they sell is NOT suitable for cine films or projectors.
