Hi Bill...Unfortunately my big old Sony TV Screen didn't survive the move. The screen itself was undamaged...but the plastic frame broke apart. It's probably for the best. My new living room doesn't really lend itself to the setup I had at my old house. I've decided to project to the wall for now until I can decide whether to use screen paint on the wall or a motorized screen. The wall is not white ...kind of a light tan color, but projection still looks good.
I brought in my swivel rocker patio chairs for the winter and for now they make nice seating in my new cine room. I'm continuing to look for seating options. The picture size on the wall is a little over 80" in width... much bigger than my old TV screen.
I really miss my old film setup...but the move has been great for me and I love the house. It may take awhile, but the new setup is going to be even better than the old one.
Even with some ambient light the contrast is good.

Robby Benson in One-on-One 1977. This print is also very faded as my African Queen print, but using the same blue filters brings back a lot of the color. I think once I get a screen it will look even better.

My grandson Jacob stays overnight on Saturdays. Last night we watched 9 to 5 at his request. He is totally into watching the projector and can tell you how it all works. I don't have a screen yet so just projecting to the wall.
That title was unfamiliar to me, so I had to look it up. It turns out that's the UK title for Wrong Is Right, another film of Mr. Connery's that I'm fond of.
I've just watched "Millionnaires d'un jour" (Millionnaires For One Day), a 1949 film. Interesting for some sequences showing the life in that time (especially a long indoor scene in a pre tv era and a bus scene). Some known actors, including the famous Louis de Funès, in one of his first role (he appears less than a minute).
