Super 8mm sound HOLLYWOOD & THE STARS full episode THE GREAT DIRECTORS
Terrific series behind the scenes Hollywood at the end of the golden era. This episode played on NBC in 1964. THE GREAT DIRECTORS is a fascinating look with incredible and rare behind the scenes footage of top notch directors making some of their best films, Cecil B. DeMille, Hitchcock, Wellman, Orson Welles, behind the scenes of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? Cecil B. DeMille on the set of The Ten Commandments and The Greatest Show on Earth. William Wyler, George Stevens, Fred Zimmerman, Billy Wilder, Vincente Minnelli, Elia Kazan, John Frankenheimer, Otto Preminger, John Houston, others. Lots of movie lot footage and sound stages. Very interesting.
Booming sound mounted on a 400' reel. There are light black wear lines throughout but no splices and no vinegar.
Buyer pays shipping. Sale is final.

This company does the programme across 3 DVDs at $19.99. Quality is very good.

Monsters We’ve known and loved is available as an extra with Cry of the Werewolf DVD which can be picked up quite cheaply . It is a slightly better print.

Don't know if they ship outside of Germany. You need to check.
Note concerning Die Hard 2 if you re-record it. There are minute cuts throughout the feature and are hard to discern. It was quite a job recording it back to English. My print of Die Hard 1 had a cut where Bruce squishes his toes into the carpet (like a 1 or 2 second cut). There was a negative cut so maybe it got damaged, don't know.
Osi-PALE RIDER was made in 1985 long after the switch to low fade. So I'm sure it is a low fade print without seeing a screen shot.

Actually, Larry, it could be real hit or miss on that. There are low fade later prints. I believe "City Heat" is low fade, but the folks who made these optical features, used Kodak SP all the way up to 1987, as I had a print of "Stand and Deliver" (87/88, depending on what movie rating book you use), and it is definitely not low fade, probably SP, and I have seen fading copies of "Fish Called Wanda" and "Spaceballs", so, being a later print with optical features, doesn't automatically ensure low fade.
