The most convenient final form would be .mp4 files with .h264 compression (say, current youtube standard). This would make it most compatible across devices.

For moderate size files I'd send it via my Google drive. But anything approaching 1GB or so I still hand that to customer in conventional way - via a usb flash drive. Convenient&fool proof.

Archiving it in uncompressed files would be impractical due to its massive size. Converting it to some sort of lossless format would make more sense.

I use non lossy compressor like logarith and store them on usb drives. Two copies on two different drives. Still pretty big but I have only like 6 or 7 videos. There are some really good newer video formats like DNxHD.

I use Lagareth to archive my original captures and .mp4/h.264 for final edited versions. I save all my telecine files to a 8tb USB hard drive with an Acronis backup system.

Thanks to all for your help and understanding! Next phase is to build a "permanent" mounting system, already have some ideas, will post pics as we move forward.

          Regards to all,

          Jacques
