Ridiculously high price aside, was "The Mad Magician" released as a 400' silent? Doesn't make any sense...

Not really a crazy ebay entry, but I couldn't find the regular ebay thread.

Its a moviedeck for those that mentioned how cool they were.

Man On Moon 100 foot, Std 8 faded film of Apollo 11.
quote:
There is a reddis fade to this which is understandable for a reel this old. All adds to the authentic, vintage feel.
A steal at £60. So that's £2 for the film and £58 for the "authentic, vintage feel".

Frankly you could list every one of this guy's posts here.

Out of curiosity I looked through his feedback and, believe it or not, he's actually found buyers for some of this stuff. Nothing as insane as his current listings, but lots of stuff that one would expect to sell for £5 - £10 going for £15 - £20. Where are those buyers when I'm selling?

Just a thought, now that we've reached 28 pages of posts, all taking up server space, and most of the links are totally useless.... wouldn't it be sensible to have a major clear-out to provide room for yetmore idiotic items?

"An import" from Sunderland via Leigh-on-sea and Manchester. I had this print last year. Got it from a guy in Sunderland and sold it to a chap in Manchester who sold it to this seller.
Nothing wrong with a bit of "flexibility" in the advertising world I guess. [Wink] [Smile]
It is an excellent print though.

Yet another "rare" 1.3 Elmo lens that will "increase brightness" on your screen.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160347746115&_trksid=p2759.l1259

I sent my (by now) standard polite correction saying they must have mixed up their lenses and must have meant to showcase a 1.1 as this would in fact "increase brightness" (not to mention justify the $200 asking price.) [Big Grin]

"Rare to see one so complete", "you will need a mains connector"

In the UK it's not complete without the mains connector...which is a ruddy great transformer with special leads!

Yep, plus without a "mains connector" how does he/she know it even works??

£399 indeed.

I've sent this question....You describe this as "perfect working order".
As this model needs the correct transformer and a "model specific" Y connecting lead, how do you know?...

Stand by for the reply.
