Received answer.... "tested with a 110v transformer
regards"....... No mention of either a film or of the "Jones connector" splitter lead.

Even if it is in "perfect working order" it's not worth that price - though they are nice machines.

Some people just haven't got a clue about what it is they're selling.
Still, I suppose they only need one other person who equally hasn't got a clue about what it is they're buying!!

I sold one of those machines years ago (I think the same) for £5 and the guy who purchased it only wanted the mains lead, but the deal was he had to take the projector away as well! I was given the projector originally but had no space or use for it.

He's also selling a Thermos flask on another page. Keeps hot things hot and cold things cold. Currently contains two mugs of coffee and a choc ice. [Big Grin]

Well, this isn't really an oddity, but this person has a bunch of stuff on ebay right now and won't give any description on any of them.

He shows a 50 foot reel for "One A.M." for $19.99! Does he not know better or is it the full film? Either way, twenty bucks is steep for such a common title.

Even better, it's not on a Super 8 reel (small spindle hole).

Kurt,

Ebay now has different platform in showing the description. If your computer did not fully load the page, then you would not see the description. Do a refresh and you will see that.

If refresh does not cure the problem, try to change the ".com" with ...say..."com.my" as this Malaysian website still using old platform.

This has been discussed previously in different thread.

I see that Elvis and Ann-Margret have suddenly increased in value by quite a bit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ELVIS-PRESLEY-ANN-MARGRET-VIVA-LAS-VEGAS-SUPER-8-REEL_W0QQitemZ400066541545QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Film?hash=item5d25d2f7e9&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

But, as he says, it was only played once..... [Roll Eyes]
He also helpfully points out that one's bid will be anonymous. That's a good thing. I wouldn't want anyone to know if I bid $250 for a 400-ft. digest that most likely is red.

Claus.

I've just checked out the item above and if you look closely at the picture, you can see that it's a partially filled 200' reel and it must only be the TRAILER! In fact I bought a copy of this from Derann ages ago after they re-released some Red Fox releases, and I'm sure mine is low fade. If anyone that wants to make a big saving offers me a mere $150, I'll reluctantly part with it!

Antoine...

That is 9.5 mm projector and films. It is common and in fact we have a specified forum for that. Check on the list.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mini-Film-Super-8-ZORRO-35mm-TV-COMIC-Movie-Sound-Color_W0QQitemZ120478624725

Also other listings, such as

You just have to love a description of a film that contains the phrase "This is really a must see for anybody who loves rats".

Bill, I also find it amusing how this seller described this "long-playing reel", that is in fact a half-full 200 footer. [Wink]
