How true. I got a Sankyo projector off eBay from Alaska and it must have been stored where the sled dogs sleep. It cleaned up okay and is actually in pretty good running condition, but it smells like animal secretions!

Someone tell me how they managed to test a super-8-only projector using standard 8mm film - and conclude that everything worked fine. [Razz]

Doug, wow! What is that "projector" doing in the slide projectors category [Roll Eyes] Should get nice sound out of those magnetic stripes, though, eh [Wink] I'm still looking for the lamp and lens, though [Razz]

Some people are so deranged. If somebody bids on that I'm going to pass out.

Re: the audio projector -- the seller had to say "WOW!" because "FLUTTER" would sound girly.

Crazy. [Eek!] Either this print is 100% faded to blank, or the guy is offering a full-coat perforated magnetic tape and doesn't know it. [Eek!]

Jan is right, this could be an extreme case of fading. Funny listing.

JM, as I mentioned above this is his reply

quote:
just clear film ,only thing that was printed on the film was the sound track of the movie.
So what does it mean?

It just occurred to me that if this was a regular print that had completely faded away, then the soundtrack would have, too. In other words, the explanation about a soundtrack-only print sounds plausible. [Eek!]
Isn't that how 16mm prints are made, anyway - from separate picture and soundtrack negatives? Or am I talking gibberish?
