Once again we'll be screening a film the night before the CineSea Film Collectors gathering. This screening will take place at 7:30 PM on Friday, April 28th at the Ocean Holiday Resort in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. Admission is free.

Let's pick the film! If you're coming to the convention and have a print you'd like to show, please list the title and format (Super 8mm or 16mm) here by 4/14. We'll then have an online survey and attendees can pick which title they prefer by 4/22.

Previous screenings have included Super 8 prints of The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and 16mm prints of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope and Aliens.

My two offerings are Derann's Shane 1953 (Super 8mm, color, flat) and the Marketing print of Airplane! 1980 (Super 8mm, color, flat).

I'm looking forward to seeing the other choices!

CineSea 15 details can be found here.

Doug

Oooo! Beetlejuice is one of my favorites and I've never seen it on the big screen before!!! Not only that, but it does have two musical numbers in it.

How nice to see the one and only Geoff Curtis on the 8mm Forum!

(Because of this guy my teenaged son can splice 16mm!)

Welcome!

We now have 7 titles. Just a few days left to throw your film in the hat (it's a pretty big hat).

I'd like to nominate my 16mm prints of Forbidden Planet and Fright Night. Both are beautiful LPP, flat prints. It's gonna be a tough choice choosing the Friday Night feature as we have some great films to choose from. Can't wait to see everybody in a few weeks. I will be bringing a ton of Super 8 this show to sell, so I know Shorty will be extremely happy! Lots of sealed stuff as well.
