A blue/green filter will help reducing a reddish/pinkish hue but will also reduce the overall brightness of the picture.

Edwin. Experimented a few years ago and eventually had a Cokin A050 Cyan cut so it just fitted into the front of my Elf proj lens. There was enough left over to have another cut for a spare Eumig 8mm lens, although not perfect the filter was not expensive.

I once purchased some blue/green filters on clearance from a camera store ($1.00 each) and they helped, but I didn't care for the loss of light. The best result I had was buying a large blue/green poster board from an office supply store and projecting the image onto it- no loss of light. One of these days, I may buy a cheap screen and give it a color tint. As everyone agrees, the faded prints will never look the way they used to, but they can look a bit more acceptable.

I tried to play around with some of the contrast filters I have for my enlarger. Unfortunately it didn't appear to help so much

I found color improving filters and offered them here over the past year. My supply ran out however, I will soon offer them up again within the next couple of weeks. (Janice, you'll get some too.)
This time, I'll have a set of five to offer, including colored filters to tint black and white films. As soon as they arrive and are ready for sale, I'll let everyone here know.

Geralds blue and green filters do wonders to fading prints. I've been using his filters in combination with a brighter Osram ELC-HL bulb set to "high" in my Elmo 16-CL and the colors have come back to life on several of my films. Thanks so much Gerald
