I was fairly impressed with it, as,
they took care to develop most of the main charaters, as well as the incidental characters. For instance, the blind fellow and his aging long haired sidekick. When they died, I actually cared about them, which is good.
I think the only character I really didn't care about as much, was the young lady in the lead. I have nothing against women role models in the STAR WARS universe, far be it, but she just kind of felt "tacked on" to appeal to ladies and really didn't seem to be essential to the story.
I thought this was an excellent use of "dead" stars as well. The CGI "Grand Moff Tarkin" was exellently done, as well as that one shot of Princess Leia at the end and I agree, that last 30 minutes or so was a great rousing view!
I Can hardly wait for STAR WARS 8, "The Last Jedi"!!!!!!
