Well I finally did it. I bought a 16mm projector. I mean I had to. I had two 16mm prints just sitting there next to all my Super 8 stuff. So, now I have to figure out how to get to the mailman before my wife, sneak the projector into the house, and then act like I've always had it. I'm dead.

Scott - Welcome to the club, I always say "Look what I found honey...".

Make sure you have a take up reel for your prints and happy projecting!

Congratulations [Smile]

Join your local Freecycle Group.... have your purchases sent to a compliant friend!
Then you can pick them up from him as items you found on Freecycle.
That's what somebody I know does... I'm his compliant friend!

Yeah Dino, Luckily we have a guest room closet that she never goes into. The problem is that it's already almost filled with my Super 8 stuff. Doh! I don't think I'll be going crazy with 16mm though, prints aren't cheap.

Reminds me of Derek Simmonds telling stories of collectors who used to (e.g.) tell their wives that new Super 8 features cost about £20. I think one had deliveries sent to a helpful neighbour!

I hope you're thinking about where you will eventually store about 100 16mm features!

I got the projector today. I was checking it out and cleaning it when my wife walked in on me. She did a double-take, but didn't realize it was a different projector from my Super 8. She never wanted much to do with the former, so she didn't really figure it out until my 4yr old daughter hollered, "Daddy you got a new projector?" Busted!
