Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have 16mm to S8mm print downs done? I have thousands of feet of 16mm intermission negatives that I'd like to get print downs made for myself and possibly others if it can be done and at a good price.

Yes, it is very possible. A company in Norway used to do this (16 to 8, 35 to 16/8 etc.), but they shut down 5-6 years ago. I still have the owners contact info tho, so I'll send him a mail and ask.

Wayne the good news is I believe Pro8 in Burbank, CA (about 30 miles from me) can do that, the bad news is I did not have wild oranges after all......

I had a feeling Wild Oranges was out Dino, thanks just the same.
I called Pro-8mm before I made this post. The conversation was short. The girl on the phone said they only process 8mm or transfer to digital. She suggested that I transfer to digital, shoot in S8mm with their 3 1/2 minute film cartridges off of my computer screen, and have that film processed. THAT is too expensive....
Larry, I'll look into person/place you suggest. I don't really want to send my negatives out of the country but at a last resort I may end up doing that.

I recommend Andec for this also. I have seen their work on 16 and 8 and it is excellent. They are actually interested in the gauges.

Ludwig from Andec replied, he can do the reductions. Thanks for the info!!!
Now I just have to pick which intermissions I want done Probably start with a bunch of short go to the lobby snipes or product ads for between reels and a 5 or 10 minute clock between features.
Too bad they can't put sound on their polyester stock, MUTE sound track is out of the question. I'll have to settle for mono sound acetate stock.

This sounds very interesting but way to costly.
I collected and still have 35mm date strips. Presently I've got 3,000 feet of old style astro daters (swirls of rotating colors - words come in from the sides) and other snipes that are calling to be in super 8 for us to splice between our trailers. Remember the good old days of movie house coming attractions? Well, this is it.
If enough of us are interested to split the cost, I'd be willing to donate the material providing it is returned to me when completed.

Curios to know, when Derann making super 8mm prints of the feature, did they use 16 mm negative? IF so, it means there is a lab in UK who can do this thing (16mm ---> 8mm).

Yes they use 16mm negatives to make multiple prints of super 8mm. They use Film Lab North for their printing. I never heard from them but here is their website:
