I ask as I know of the full feature, of course, an ancient 200ft b/w digest as well as a 3X400ft digest ...

... but were there other extended digests as well? The full feature, even if on very full 400ft reels, would be 6X400ft.

Were they're 4X400ft, 5X400ft?

Just curious.

OSI

I only know of a release by Ivy Films which is 7x400' and most prints are probably faded.

I Have the 129 min. feature. It's on 7X400, the last reel running only some ten min. I recently saw someone sell a 5X400 version. And have earlier seen both 3X400 and 1X400. The last two are a little odd, they are usually named "A Quiet Man" on the boxes. Why? No idea.

Unfortunately the feature is totally faded to pink, with just a slight hint of other colors.

Hi Osi, RE. 'The Quiet Man' This was released by Techno Films as a
3 x 400ft colour sound mini feature, but this had very poor print quality, the sound was good.It was also released here in Britain by
Powell Films as a 5 x 400ft feature in both colour sound and B/W sound
the prints were at the time of reasonable quality. I have also seen a 400ft version in colour but with optical sound, but I don't know who
released it.
