It has been such a long time since I was last in a position to contribute to this thread. My 16mm projectors both developed problems at the same time, which must be in excess of 2 years ago. Thus I stuck to my super 8 collection. However, a trip to Kevin Brown in Nottingham for a full overhaul has proved very beneficial. So tonight, I screened films that have been in my possession most of that time but never watched.
It kicked off with an episode from Sgt.Bilko starring Phil Silvers entitled "Bilko's Casino"
Then...... the one I have been itching to watch for soooooo long......
Close Encounters of The Third Kind - The Special Edition. A flat print bought from a fellow forum member via Ebay AGES ago. Still very good colour with moderate scratching. Extremely watchable and very enjoyable.
.........There will be more 16mm nights coming up as I have a lot more to watch. So "watch this space" !!!!
