Finally, I could book the coach tickets. I also have a place to stay so I should attend. But before Blackpool, I will try to attend the 9.5 event in October and I'm honestly not comfortable with the "day 2" (covid) test system. If the test is positive, you have to isolate yourself during 10 days in a hotel choosen by the authorities and I heard it's £ 2.285. That's not the kind of sword of Damocles you like to have above your head...

Will be a lovely weekend Dom and time to stop and just enjoy the whole thing but understand the misery Covid can impose. We are both looking forward to it and hats off for the hard work of all involved.
Locally we shall be attending in numbers a wonderful event in anyones film diary.

Elaine reports a few dealers from down South are making the journey up to Blackpool this year. Great news indeed. Still time to book...see earlier messages for contact details.

That is excellent Nick...yet another excellent reason (as if you needed one!) to go to Blackpool.

Also, as every year at Blackpool, we film the event on Super 8!

For good value and distinctive character, I can recommend the Collingwood. I've stayed there numerous times and should be there as usual this year. It's a brisk 7 minutes walk from The Grand.

I'm looking forward to finally seeing the famous Illuminations fully on, instead of just a limited part due to the Strictly filming during recent years.

Hope we can see some footage of your event on you-tube, plus photos of it here on the forum. In saying that, I am some what surprised after seeing the TV news here only just yesterday, "and I don't want to sound to negative", but of the increase in numbers of cases of people infected with the Covid virus, particular in England, that you are still going ahead with it.. anyway all the best, but take care, look forward to the photos.

I think, from what i have heard, the figures show more that the UK is testing more so there are more reported cases and less unreported as in some other countries. Also most of them are in younger age groups and thankfully the hospitalisation and death figures are not climbing as any where near fast as the positive test ones,
