In the 1964 film The Last Man on Earth, Vincent Price uses an 8mm projector to screen home movies taken before the plague affected his family.





He then has a flashback to when he used his very compact Standard 8mm camera to film those happier times.

From the German serie (on Netflix) Kleo (episode 3). The action is set just after the fall of the wall in Berlin. A young boy from West Berlin moved to the East part, where flats were cheaper. There was a 16mm projector there. But that boy is not à main carachter in the serie, which is about an ex Stasi member taking a revenge after having being decieved.
