Your generalization of action films is wrong Tammy. Because imdb is better viable source then Google.ok is Paint your wagon a musical or western?

Is blues bros a musical or action?

You Google definition can apply to any movie including Rousabout or bambi. Every movie contains what you quoted.

So I guess by taking Google's interpretation every movie is action. Which makes your original point about Roustabout being a musical not fully correct.

Aliens for sure is most definitely an action film with horror elements. If you were to take "Alien" and "Aliens" one is a survival horror film, the other is an action film against some frightening enemies.
