As usual it's a shame we don't see reel time S8 pictures of the degradation of film rather than digital images.

The original Superman 1978 was available on Super 8 optical sound as an airline print. I know because I went to California
in 1980 and it was shown on the plane. Incidentally, the earthquake scenes were being shown as we touched down heavily, which shook the plane and added to the drama. Very effective.

In Germany, all films released by „Ullstein AV“ have been with Lichtton (optical sound). The majority of them have also been sold by „Foto Quelle“ (sometimes with a „Revue“-sticker on the box to cover the Ullstein-logo).
