  • I never watched AI at the cinema but did get round to watching it in later years. Its a interesting film, picture quality is so so I have seen better, and the sound quality is very good. If you like to watch something a bit different then AI blu-ray might be for you.

    • Well that was last night, but tonight it was back into space with "Ad Astra" its not the first time I have watched this blu-ray, and it wont be the last. I think the special effects are really great, something I never tire of with space film. Projected tonight using the Panasonic VP. Both picture and sound quality are excellent.

Its one of those movies to sit back and just enjoy the ride.

      • Air Force One 4k uhd blu ray.

Reelly quite fantastic view and detailed. Ran it up on the 4k projector, so nice to see the foggy image gone from the old bluray.

        • A couple of screen shots from last night😎.

Yvonne wants to watch it tonight, so it looks like another screening tonight.📽

          • Whenever we watch "AI", we always finish the film when it fades out on Hailey repeating the wish to be made a real boy, which is souch more satisfying than that tacked on happy ending.

            • I liked the ending Osi, after all he got to spend time with her without that other little brat spoiling things, his journey to find the blue fairy was an interesting one, Jude Law in particular was very good in the part. The ending I felt was a bit sad, however he had Teddy with him when the lights finally went out. Did you pick up Robin Williams doing a voice part?

PS In the making of "Haley Joel Osment" said the hardest thing for him to do was not to blink.

                • Starship Troopers brilliant movie special effects. Much better than Star Wars as it doesn’t take it seriously. LOL Click image for larger version

                  • Picked this one up on one of my weekly visits to my favorite second hand shop last week, projected it the other night, lots of things on this disc which I should add include the colorization and black and white versions of this movie. I went for the color one. I thought it looked very good. To be honest I am not in general that interested in B grade monster type movies but for $5 dollars I thought I might give this one a go, so here are a couple of screen shots taken from the Panasonic VP .

Stunning colorised print of Harryhausen movie. I have most of his films now on Blu ray. Including Steven Spielberg favourite Jack the Giant Killer. LOL 😂 A common mistake .

                        • Picked this one up a while back from Imprint so last night I got around to watching it as I had never seen it before. I must admit I really enjoyed watching it on the VP, excellent picture and sound. highly recommend this blu-ray from Imprint.

                          • I vaguely remember watching this movie but it has been a long time. A post “Omen” type movie with Lee Remick included in the cast.

                              • Well that was a pleasant surprise with tonight's blu-ray "Firewall" 2006. We never ran this one at the cinema but I have watched it somewhere in the past but never really thought much about it. My view changed tonight watching it on the Panasonic VP, the disc itself was one of those $5 second hand ones that I have had for a while but never really got around to watching the blu-ray until tonight.

This time round with excellent picture and sound I found it really good, a full on action movie.

PS....One thing that did catch my attention was the music at the start, I thought I have heard that before on "Flight Of The Phoenix" the remake, checked the end credits and sure enough it was the number "Angel" by Massive Attack. I guess I must be watching to many movies these days to pick that up
